CAPACITY BUILDING
Are you interested in enhancing your program’s postsecondary navigation support?
Since 2020, Northwest Education Access has been sharing best practices, tools, and resources to help service providers—who already have strong relationships in their communities—support students in successfully transitioning to and persisting through postsecondary education. We provide capacity building assistance to both community-based organizations and educational institutions to scale this vital work and create pathways for students to achieve their education and career goals. Every student deserves this support, and we believe we can only make it widely accessible by working together. To assist this effort, we offer a series of trainings that cover the five core components of our work, along with an education planning toolkit that includes resources and best practices to help service providers develop or strengthen programs aimed at helping students access higher education. We are also dedicated to providing ongoing support to any organization we partner with.

The following trainings, as well as the tools and resources that accompany each training, can be tailored, based on the needs and desires of service providers. Training can be conducted in large and small group sessions or one-on-one.

Ongoing Support:
Direct Service
We offer support with troubleshooting student scenarios, bridging connections to on-campus and community resources, facilitating team learning spaces, and providing follow-up assistance on the implementation of best practices and tools shared in our trainings.
Program Design & Implementation
We offer our support as thought partners during the process of enhancing existing service models and developing new program elements.
Through our capacity building efforts we hope to expand and enhance the support provided to young people pursuing their education and career goals.
